Up until 1973 the Club consisted of 11 Region Councils spread across the country.

The largest of these was Central Counties Region which covered most of the central part of the country.
This area was then divided into three parts:- Central Counties, West Central (known as Cambrian & Wyvern) and North Central.

North Central Region administers 7 District Associations (D.A.s), these being Chase D.A, Chesterfield D.A., Derbyshire D.A., North Staffs D.A., North Wales D.A., Staffordshire D.A. and Shropshire D.A..
The land area covered is the whole of Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, North Wales and Anglesey.

When the Region was originally formed there were only 4 D.A.s. North Staffs was formed in 1972, Chesterfield in 1974 and Chase in 1980.

The dates of formation of the other four are:- Derbyshire 1923, North Wales 1973, but before coming into our Region they were in North West Region and formed from Liverpool & North Wales in 1956, then becoming Wirral & North Wales in 1967, and finally North Wales in 1974. Shropshire was founded in 1953 and Staffordshire became a section of Birmingham D.A. in 1959 and a D.A. in its own right in 1960.
